You also find bottles and ropes and driftwood on our beach. I have been to Scotland on a holiday but the closest I came to your town would have been Fort William. I had a very cold holiday in Arisaig and Mallaig one Easter a long (long) time ago. I remember it snowing very hard (in April!). A few hours later, a lump of snow in the garden of the cottage we were staying in got up and shook itself... it was actually a snow covered sheep that had tried to shelter in the garden.
